The question I get asked most frequently is 'how did You become a London Dominatrix, Mistress Cate?'. Here I go into detail about my journey and the events that have led to me becoming the woman I am today.
Early Days
I was a creative girl, fascinated by fashion, dolls and always daydreaming about being the queen of a kingdom. I loved playing exciting outdoor games and was always a tease to those around me. Even at a young age I noticed boys (particularly the shy ones) doing anything they could to get my attention so l set them fun little tasks to amuse me. Perhaps the course of my life was already set...
I enjoyed school but found the demands on my time far too restrictive and the teachers seemed dull, worn-out and lifeless. I vowed that I'd never become just another sad soul plodding through life; I had to have adventure, freedom and fun! My restless spirit compelled me to think about what type of life I desired. I knew I'd be unhappy with a conventional 9 to 5. In an attempt to direct my energies towards something 'normal' someone suggested the Army Cadets. What an experience that turned out to be! Already aware of of how easy it was to command people I rapidly rose through the ranks and was soon putting the new recruits through their paces. Something about ordering the others about thrilled me and the fact that I was encouraged to dish out discipline and punishment as I saw fit absolutely tickled me. I wasn't sure exactly what was stirring, but it nagged at me, needed to be released. If you're very lucky I can still drill you, in more ways than one...
A step into a bigger world
Picture the scene. The lights are low, the music starts and the crowds gasps as the most beautiful, sexy woman you've ever seen appears on stage and starts swaying to the beat. That woman was me. I was in my early 20s and dancing in the top club in Sheffield. Some people might judge and say this work is exploitative. I wholeheartedly disagree. I was stepping into my power and captivating audiences every time I performed. Men clearly desired me but I was in charge, making decisions about when and how I worked and making serious money. I had the support of a group of like-minded, freedom-loving people and had some of the best times of my life!
Dubai Dreaming
Remember the adventurous spirit? Next, my journey took me to Dubai where the extravagance and wealth fascinated me. 5 star hotels, luxury brands, cocktails by the pool, it was all there for the taking and I lived life to the fullest. Fun, exciting times for sure but somehow too much of a good thing can make one jaded and despite the pleasures of that place I soon grew restless again and knew I had to move on.
London and unstoppable rise of Cate McQueen
Which brings me to London! I'll write further about how this city fascinates and excites me but for now know that I arrived and immediately set to work. Change brings uncertainty and while I was happy enough I still had yet to find my calling and be true to myself. It all came to a head one evening following a dinner date with a nice but rather unreformed man. Trying his luck and no doubt convinced of his appeal he invited me back to his hotel room. A momentary flash of arrogance from him set off a transformation that made me realise exactly how I would live from now on. Playfulness, teasing, raw sexuality, attraction, command and my innate power swirled and combined. I went from a lady in a dinner dress to Dominatrix. Just like that. The guy was visibly shocked and went on to receive more shocks throughout the night. He still contacts me from time to time, my power has him hooked. I had arrived, knew myself and began building my empire.
So here I am. Independent, free, able to run my life on my terms and once again surrounded by fun-loving, like-minded people. The richness is all around and the adventure continues...
